Large fitness center featuring an Olympic-size pool, plus personal training, group fitness classes and a juice bar.
The facility typically features a main lap pool, generally kept at a cooler temperature (around 78-82°F or 25-28°C) for vigorous swimming, and a separate, warmer therapy pool, usually maintained at a higher temperature (around 88-92°F or 31-33°C) for relaxation and therapeutic use. Specific temperatures can vary.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The gym receives highly mixed reviews, primarily praising its well-maintained pool facilities and successful children's swimming lessons, while expressing significant dissatisfaction with the gym area, management, and overall operational issues. Positively, the pool is frequently described as fantastic, clean, and a key reason members stay. Some members also appreciate the spaciousness of the gym, its convenient location, and polite staff, attributing negative experiences to members who violate rules or attempt to sneak in. Conversely, numerous complaints detail old, broken, and malfunctioning gym equipment, including treadmills that don't work and machines that have collapsed, with repair promises often going unfulfilled. Ventilation is a severe issue, leading to dangerous condensation in the gym during winter and extensive mold growth in changing rooms and showers during summer, raising concerns about hygiene. Other facility problems include a persistent lack of hot water in showers for years, inconsistent heating (gym often cold due to constant AC/fans, no heat in winter), and strict payment policies that don't accept modern methods like Apple Pay. Management, specifically the owner Ms. Juya, is a central point of contention. While some commend her commitment to cleanliness and rules, many recount negative encounters, including accusations of rudeness, untruthfulness, falsely accusing members of trespassing, poor handling of payment disputes, and a dismissive attitude towards complaints and repair requests. One lengthy account details the owner's extensive efforts to discredit a negative review rather than address the underlying issues, contributing to a perception of being 'treated like trash' by staff and management.
Reviews
The pool is fantastic and best hours are noon. The gym could use better equipment for triceps and biceps but has lots of space to move around and has a great location near everything
Original review—— There is a reason why this gym has such a low rating. The machines are old, but the good thing is that the swimming pool is clean, and they seem to take pride in it. For membership, cash (with tax deducted) or a valid credit/debit card is accepted. They do not accept Apple Pay or card numbers and will ask you to go back home and bring cash. Reply to her comment— Wow. The owner clearly does not understand the definition of trespassing. She accused me of trespassing when she(owner) was the person who permitted the phone, saying, “You can work out for today because the employee does not know how to do card transactions.”🤷♂️❓ To see her reply, accusing me of trespassing, is both surprising and disappointing, which she has now deleted. Being untruthful does not help your business, and your response only confirms why so many people have had similar experiences here—such a shame. I was being very reasonable, respectful, and ONLY followed what you told me to do. Why would I raise my voice for such a small matter? You (the boss) even agreed not to pay anything, as I barely used the property. However, she made a phone call to my friend and spoke with him for over 30 minutes about this one review. After several calls to my friend, I only paid because I didn't want to waste time in this situation and inconvenience my friend. I'm the one who should say "don't live like that". You are an adult and boss of the property. Act like one and no more silly drama plz. 🙏☺️
monthly member. I really like the crowd that comes here but management really needs to do something about the ventilation. starting from last winter, the condensation in the gym area (because the pool door is always open) is so bad it’s technically a safety hazard (imagine so much condensation on the stair machine that you can just slip and fall). and this summer, the mold in the changing room and shower area is scary to look at. There is so much mold it’s seeping out from the walls and ceilings. and I have never seen a cleaner. do they even have a cleaner? or is it just dependent on the members that are neat ? if it’s not for the pool I would have cancelled long long long ago..
It's the cleanest, most well-maintained gym I've ever been to, with polite and respectful staff and decent members. The pool is always clean, as are the sauna and steam rooms. Some people have left negative reviews, but last year they were given a free one-month membership, but some were caught trying to sneak in after their membership expired. I suspect the other negative reviews were due to the revocation of memberships for those who tried to enter the pool sweaty from the sauna without showering, or for those who spit in the pool, blow their noses, behave disrespectfully, or disobey the rules. I've been coming here for over three years, and other than those I mentioned, I haven't encountered anyone with a complaint. Ms. Juya, who manages this business, is extremely committed to her work and cleanliness, and she insists on strict adherence to the rules. Naturally, it's difficult to please everyone. She also offers highly successful swimming lessons for children. Ms. Juya's sons teach swimming to children ages 8-12, and their students have won three gold medals from the state of NJ. It is a great feeling to see happy and successful children and their families around me.
None of the machines work properly. 75% of the treadmills are not working and refuse to go above 6.5mph. One machine totally collapsed and fell on me mid-workout and when I told Juya the owner, she said she will fix it. Next day, the machine is exactly the way it was before and it has not been fixed since. There was no heat in the winter and the AC/Fans in the gym are nice but they’re constantly on making the gym cold. There is not hot water for the showers and don’t expect them to be working for atleast the next five years. They have never worked since they re-opened under new management. The guy in the front is extremely rude and says it’s working. When I tell him to come look at it he says “It must be warming up”. It’s been warming up for the past 2 years. Anyways, if your looking for a new gym, come here if you want to be treated like trash.
