What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed but largely negative view of the pool. While the physical facilities are praised for being new and offering amenities like an adult lap pool, kid's pool with a slide, splash pad, infant pool, lounge chairs, and great NYC views, nearly all operational aspects receive strong criticism. Major complaints include extreme disorganization and inefficiency, particularly during pool pass pick-up which is described as an 'absolute joke' with outdated processes. Lap swimmers express significant frustration over very limited (6-8 AM) and often unreliable hours, delayed season openings, and staff not being present to open the pool. The $40 day pass price is deemed exorbitant, leading to accusations of a 'rip-off' and discrimination. Staff are frequently described as having poor attitudes, being rude, and uncommunicative. Non-Weehawken residents also face highly restricted access. Reviewers suggest modernizing operations with an app and improving staffing and communication, with some residents expressing a desire to leave the town due to the overall poor experience despite high taxes.

This whole operation is an absolute joke. Completely disorganized. People everywhere. All to get a summer pool pass. Whoever is in charge of this sham operation should be ashamed of themselves. They created a “2 hour window” to “pick up passes.” It’s not just picking them up. It’s photos, unnecessary verification and a completely inefficient operation that’s stuck in 1995. Folding tables, slow computers & cameras that aren’t functioning correctly are comical. It’s 2025 - create an app & get with the modern times. Morons.
Great new facilities. Adult lap pool, kid pool with water slide, large splash pad and small infant pool. Lounge chairs and umbrellas. Currently non-Weehawken residents are only allowed to use it in the mornings from 9-12 and you have to sign up a week in advance. Great views of NYC! Needs better access.
This pool would get 5 stars from me if it weren’t such a poor experience for lap swimmers. Not only do they only give you 6-8 am hours for lap swimming, but half the time when I’ve come at 6/6:15 am to swim, no staff is there to have opened the pool! Also, they didn’t even offer this 6-8 am lap swim option until END OF JUNE when every other outdoor pool follows the typical Memorial Day - Labor Day opening season. They claimed it was because they rely on students as staff and they were still in school till then which I can understand, but come on guys you can hire some non-students and fix this problem. I pay a full summers membership (the price of which increases every summer) yet I have a full month LESS of use because of this. Also, they claim to have the pool blocked off for private lessons after 8 am, but I can actually see the pool from my apartment and can see that no lessons are even going on (attached a picture of the pool on a Wednesday morning at 8:45 am). Why can’t lap swimmers at least use the lanes that aren’t being used for lessons alongside? Lastly, their website and many emails from are full of highlighted / bolded / underlined / all of the above stuff that it’s hard to follow what their hours even are to try to follow them myself, and I’ve tried!! Look - I don’t mean to be a Karen here, but I just want to find a place to be able to swim (especially outside in the summer!) and it’s hard/expensive to be able to do this. I was a swimmer my whole life, I love getting to do it, and it really shouldn’t be this difficult. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
This place is such a rip-off. I went to see how much it cost to enter the pool for a day and they are charging a whopping $40 for a day pass. You have to be out of your mind charging those prices. you devils have the nerve to charge $40 per person. Whoever is running this place is obviously a racist piece of garbage. Thats why they they were sued once. And they should get sued again. This is obviously a ploy to keep the less fortunate out of this pool
The worst client experience ever. Weehakwen is the worst town when it comes to their resident and kids. We pay high taxes for the worst experience the worst schools and the worst pool because the people who work there have the worst attitude, they are rude and they dont know how to communicate. Cant wait to move out from weehawken town.
