Neighborhood spot for kiddies, with a pool limited to kids.
As an outdoor NYC Parks facility, Windmuller Pool is generally unheated. The water temperature is ambient, typically cool and refreshing, dependent on the prevailing weather conditions during the operating season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This is a small community pool in Woodside, primarily suitable for small children and their parents, with a maximum depth of 3 feet. Operating hours are 11 am to 3 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm. The pool has a capacity of 32 people, and during busy times, 30-minute sessions are enforced, which can lead to disorganization and significant wait times as everyone must re-queue. If it's not busy, visitors can stay longer. Facilities are minimal, with no dedicated changing rooms, relying instead on park bathrooms. While some find the water temperature perfect, others express concerns about cleanliness. There's a strict no-picture policy, and staff behavior can vary. Some users recommend it for local families with young kids, while others find the organization frustrating and a 'waste of time'.

I been here 4 times with my baby. Its a very small pool. There are no changing rooms nothing, it's all just outside in the park bathroom. It's only for small kids and their parents. The guard in the morning is very nice the one in the evening not so much. If the pool is busy there are only 30 minutes sessions so all kids run out to line up before it's too late. If it's not busy it doesn't get inforced and you can stay for longer. It's a nice community pool for small kids only
This is a very cute little pool in Woodside. It's opening hours are 11am to 3pm and 4pm to 7pm. Only 32 people are allowed in the pool at one time. If there are more people waiting in line for the pool, then the 32 people have a 30-minute time limit. If there are no people waiting in line, then the 32 people can stay as long as they want. The water is only 3 feet deep and it's the perfect temperature; not too hot and not too cold, but more towards the warm side. It's a great pool to bring your kids to in the summer if you live in Woodside. By the way, there is a no picture-taking policy and it is enforced by the employees.
Swimming pools aren't clean in my opinion... and also i peed in a pool once... who hasn't
The pool itself is nice. My 5 years old daughter loves it as she can touch the ground.. but no organization whatsoever.. there's capacity of 32ppl so when someone comes out another person goes in and they do a rotation every 30 min. As a first timer we got in 10 min before rotation.. when the bell rang everyone got out and got back on line.. so ppl that were already in for 30 min got in first and we had to wait 30 min to get in. I do not recommend. Total waist of time!
Water is not super clean but as a neighborhood pool, kids enjoyed the most
