Mingo Creek Swimming Pool is a popular seasonal outdoor aquatic facility located within Mingo Creek Park in Knightdale, NC. It typically operates from Memorial Day through Labor Day, offering recreational open swimming, lap lanes, and various aquatic programs for the community. The pool is a key feature of the park, which also includes greenways, playgrounds, and picnic shelters, making it a central hub for summer recreation.

The water temperature naturally fluctuates based on the ambient air temperature and sun exposure, typically being comfortable for swimming during its operational summer months. Specific daily temperature readings are not consistently provided or guaranteed.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool facility are mixed but largely negative. Many customers report significant issues with customer service, including unanswered calls, an unattended facility, and long delays for pool passes. The physical condition of the pool is a major concern, with complaints about poor maintenance, bugs and debris in the water, and a user developing a rash, raising questions about chlorine levels. Facility amenities are also criticized, with old and broken chairs, a lack of shade, expensive guest fees ($12 per person per day), and no slide. Lifeguard professionalism varies, with some described as apathetic and late returning from breaks. Despite these issues, one positive review noted it's a fun place to cool down with present lifeguards for safety and adult swim options. However, several negative reviews indicate a strong inclination to seek services elsewhere due to these recurring problems.

Trying to renew my membership after canceling it over a year ago....Called yesterday- no answer. Called twice today- no answers. Stopped by and no one was manning the place. Door was unlocked but there wasn’t a soul in sight. Called the Clayton location that manages Mingo Creek and told them about the issue so they can look into it. I just want to renew my membership so I can go to the pool and get away from this heat. Might have to take my business elsewhere if I can’t get service..... 🤷🏻♀️👎🏼
The chairs are old and most are broken. The life guards vary from enjoyable to so apathetic they have to be threatened with a call to management to return from a break 20 minutes late. It's free and close, so we go, but we will be joining the Knightdale YMCA as well.
Pool not maintained too well, lots of bugs and other items floating in pool. Not sure if chlorine is used and how much, but i got a bad rash on my arms and legs after leaving the pool, i never had issues at any other pool i visited. Still waiting on my pool pass card, got told it would be 2 weeks, it has been 6 weeks so far.
It's a fun place to cool down during a hot sunny day there are always lifeguards to keep you and you children safe there's adult swim for you to have your own fun without having to watch your kids it's great I love it !
Old furniture, no shade. Bring a friend? Pay $12 per person PER DAY!! Not even a slide.
