What are people saying (AI review summary)? Aqua Tots generally receives positive feedback for its effective water safety teaching and ability to build children's comfort and confidence in the water. Many instructors, including Maddy, Landry, Allie, Layla, Samantha, and Alorah, are frequently praised for their patience, sweetness, energy, and engaging teaching styles. Staff communication and accommodation, even during initial facility opening delays, were also well-received. However, a significant recurring concern centers around the transition from Level 2 (parent-accompanied) to Level 3 (independent, starting at 2.5 years old). Some parents reported that their young children struggled with separation anxiety at this stage, with instances where instructors were perceived as frustrated or lacked sufficient patience and awareness of the child's prior progress. Suggestions for improvement include extending the age limit for Level 2, implementing a dedicated transition class, or providing more consistent support for children experiencing separation anxiety during this crucial step.

We absolutely LOVE Aqua Tots. This program has helped our daughter feel so much more comfortable and confident in the water. We love the water safety teaching, and we love the staff! The transition from level 2 to level 3 was difficult for my daughter, as I imagine being alone in the pool without your parents at 2.5 would be for anyone. However, the staff never acted in a way that shamed me or my daughter. They were patient, kind, and accommodating. We are so grateful for them! Coach Maddy, Coach Landry, and Coach Allie are three of my daughter’s favorites, but we’ve never had a bad lesson with any of their talented and sweet staff! I am so excited to see how much she grows in this program!
Layla was so sweet with my daughter. Made the lesson fun and was super energetic. My daughter had a smile every time she completed a task and wanted to come back every day for her lesson with excitement.
My son was going to this location for almost a year he started off in level 2. He was doing great, we absolutely loved coach Samantha (and still do), my son was very comfortable with her. Unfortunately we had to take him out of this school because once he moved to level 3 (2.5 year old and up) he was not doing well with the instructors and you openly see it on their faces how frustrated with my son and other little kids that cry. Going from being in the water with parents to being on their own is pretty scary for a 2 year old. I wish aqua tots can extend the age limit for level 2 to 3 year old like other swim schools. It doesn’t help also when changing levels and then the school closes for 2 weeks for holiday break and then bringing him back to get reacquainted with the class. It was frustrating and you can tell that coach Landry was frustrated, and she tried to dismiss our comments regarding how our son is in the water. Our son was doing great and comfortable in the water. It doesn’t help when the instructors are unaware of the progress from previous classes and expect your child to be okay with going from a class with their parents to now being by themselves. I do feel like they more patience and maybe a transition class to help move from level 2 to level 3. Unfortunately we had to leave and go somewhere else. Hopefully in the future they can restructure their program so that transitioning can be easier for the little ones especially when separation anxiety is at an all time high
Alorah was so patient with a full class. Kids had fun and she made sure to keep the kids engaged and safe
PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS LOCATION. Honest review. We had originally signed up in January 2023 for classes in April 2023. Unfortunately, due to reasons outside of Aqua-Tots’ control, the opening date kept being pushed back. With Covid, everything is back ordered, and we were told the location wouldn’t open without essential parts for their pool. Fortunately with the app, I was able to keep track of dates and I called anytime I grew concerned about delayed starts. Not a single time was I met with unprofessionalism or left with unanswered questions. The staff was always apologetic and extremely accommodating. They even offered to move us to another location but the Live Oak one was minutes away and honestly, waiting a little longer wasn’t a big deal. Lucky for us, the location is officially open and my kids have attended two classes already. The staff has been amazing so far and despite all they’ve dealt with with the delayed opening, you wouldn’t know walking into the facility. The coaches and instructors are passionate about what they do and I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that over a few backordered pool parts. We all know what Covid did to us, we were all affected by delays in production and shipment, what happened here is no different and I chose to be understanding and patient about it. Thank you Aqua-Tots Live Oak for making this a great experience for my family.
