Public pool offering swim lessons for kids and adults in addition to diving.
Both the Lap Pool and the Recreation Pool at the Juanita Aquatics Center are maintained at a comfortable temperature of 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the aquatic center are mixed, highlighting both positive and significant negative aspects. On the positive side, many users praise the instructors, noting them as nice, attentive, encouraging, and effective, particularly for children's classes and adult swimming lessons where progress was observed. The pool is described as having both shallow and deep sections. However, a dominant theme in the negative feedback revolves around the facility's condition. It is frequently described as outdated, not clean, and poorly maintained, with specific complaints about disgusting locker rooms (rusting lockers, near black floors), missing ceiling tiles, and dirty/outdated bathrooms that have been blocked for renovation. The water temperature is a major concern for many, consistently described as too cold (82-83 degrees, ideally needing to be 86 degrees for kids and public swims). Other criticisms include an overwhelming chlorine smell, crowded conditions on weekends making it difficult to swim, and frustratingly frequent changes in class instructors. Some users express a strong reluctance to return due to the overall poor state of the facility.

Juanita aquatic center definitely falls short. It feels outdated, not the cleanest, and there's an overwhelming chlorine smell. I took my first class here, and honestly, I hope I don’t have to come back. The weekends are packed, making it tough to actually swim.
Looks like a well used and loved location. Teachers are nice, attentive and my kiddo really enjoyed them (not always same in our case). They didn’t push, only encouraged. Great experience
The classes and instructors are good but they keep changing the instructors in every session and when you ask them they say your kid has to get used to this. The public swims are empty and dull most times because 1. Their water is super cold. Its 82-83 deg which is okay if you got adults who are swimming non stop but not for kids . At least during public swim and classes the water should be warmer at about 86. Most people I heard from dont want to go there for just this reason 2. Bathrooms are outdated and dirty. They have blocked for renovation for close to a year now.
The pool is clean. They have the shallow pool and deep pool. Their adult class is really great with wonderful coach. I made lot of progress in the first two sessions of my class.
Went there for a swim meet and the pool was by far the worst pool I've been to. Ceiling tiles were missing and there were chunks off that were simply gone. Locker rooms was absolutely disgusting. Rusting lockers, near black floors, and poor temperature control in the water. it looks like what I'd imagine a 1970's abandoned prison pool to look like. You could not pay me money to swim in this abomination again.
