This is an edited review: After thinking about it, I'm over the communal showers. These folks work hard to give their members the best experience. They're accommodating and they do offer an astounding range of classes and equipment. Love this place! Previous review: It's really is a great place to go if you like taking Zumba and other classes. There are some great machines and lots of weights as well. I don’t love the communal showers but it’s not a deal breaker. For such a small island this is a lot of gym for the money.

Great place to work out and even unwind too. The salt water pool is lovely and I think it has 4 lanes...? The cold water plunge is nice but honestly way to COLD for me. My knees started screaming in pain from how cold it was so i had to get out before actually plunging. The hot tub is lovely and large. There are quite a few rooms to workout in and they offer towel service which is worth it to me.

Nick & Sarah (the gym owners) have been able to do a lot with a little space at Vashon athletic club. Their class offerings, ever-improving equipment choices, long open-hours, and newly renovated pool/hot tub (it’s amazing), all work together to create the best gym experience you can have here on Vashon. Employees are friendly, owners are always happy to address any concerns you may have, and if you aren’t into working out - at least stop by to say hi to the gym’s adorable mascot - Tux! Also, as a local business owner, Nick presented many opportunities for me to advertise and promote my business through the gym. How cool is that? 5/5 - I’ve been attending for over 6 years!

Awesome gym, great equipment, well maintained. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The trainers are amazing, and extremely knowledgeable. The Dry Sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge are awesome to have all in house with the pool for relaxation and recovery after a good workout. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to achieve their fitness goals.

This is it! No reason to look for another gym facility anywhere on Vashon! They have it all! I’ve been going there for the last 15 years and every year it just gets better. Equipment is great, facility is amazing and staff and management couldn’t be better. I’ll be a member for life, thanks VAC for helping me achieve my fitness goals and providing such an outstanding place that feels like home!
