We were on vacation, and my son didn’t want to miss a week of swim training, so I started searching for pools in the area. Most of the places I found required a full membership just to swim, which wasn’t ideal for a short stay. Then I came across Hampton Aquaplex, and honestly, it was a blessing! They offered a day pass option, which was super convenient and affordable—I believe it was around $8, though I’m not 100% sure. Either way, it was very reasonably priced. From the moment we walked in, the experience was great. The attendant at the welcome desk was extremely professional and helpful, making the process quick and easy. The indoor natatorium itself was impressive—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. My son said the water temperature was absolutely perfect for training, which made him really happy. As a parent, I also appreciated the setup. There were bleachers right by the pool, so I was able to sit comfortably and watch him train without feeling like I was in the way. The restrooms were very clean and clearly maintained, which is always a big plus in my book. Overall, Hampton Aquaplex exceeded my expectations. It’s a fantastic option if you need a high-quality facility without the hassle of a membership. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in the area

Incredible facility. I was grateful the Aquaplex could accommodate a Freediver course. Caleb was professional and clear with instructions and insurance requirements, and I was happy to comply. We had a great class there and will certainly bring our business back to the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex.

My family and I spent a fun afternoon at the Aquaplex splash park today! We arrived approximately 10 min prior to the 11am opening and were checked in after filling a release form and paying the admission… which is very reasonable. We were told our wristband allowed for in/out privileges which was great as we left to have lunch at Freddy’s around the corner then came back 😃. The facility itself was clean, beautiful and had plenty of seats under umbrellas, great fun for my nephew who just made the height requirement for the slides. We had a ball! The lifeguards were friendly and attentive as well. We are staying at the Hyatt across the street and actually came for a visit to Buckroe Beach but this place was an amazing bonus activity and we will definitely be back next summer!

I signed my daughter for an 8 week class- one was cancelled due to staffing. One was scheduled during a holiday- the front desk didn't know it was a holiday, I called the program director and left a message to call me back regarding the scheduled-never got a call back, called the front desk the day of and was finally told it was cancelled. Then today, we got there and the front desk said there have been problems with the program pool all week. There were no updates on the website, got no call or an email. She had a 4 week session last year that she enjoyed and the classes we did go to were fine but it's so frustrating to come all the way to Hampton just to be told there's no class when a phone call is so easy to do. They just give you credits but I just want my money back, we won't be coming back.

This was my first time training at this facility during a freediving course, and it was an awesome experience. The staff were super friendly, and the facility was top-notch with a spacious classroom, clean locker rooms, a 25-yard training pool, and a 50-meter competition pool. Everything you need is all in one place. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking for a high quality place to train.
