After bouncing around from one swim program in the city to the next, we chanced upon British Swim School and couldn’t be happier. The program is focussed sharply on making kids feel confident in the water, our daughter instantly took to the teachers. Big shout out to Pedro, who in just one class got our little starfish floating and so so so happy and confident in the water.

This is an excellent school to help kids of all levels learn how to swim. Their initial focus is survival; what to do if you fall in the water. From there, they build on swim techniques. The classes are very small so some levels are 1:1 training too. My son was so scared to get into the water week 1, where the instructor even asked if he’s had water trauma. By week 4 he was floating on his back by himself and learning basic strokes. Taylor and Daphne are so patient and do such a great job with the kids. Can’t recommend this school enough.

Duly is a nice staff in taking students for class. Coaches have experienced in making class fun. My two kids attend British Swim School in John Jay. Highly recommended!

My son has been learning so fast at British Swim School. His instructor, Pedro, has been perfect for making the experience fun while also teaching him a ton of new skills

The school does very well teaching children survival skills. 5 stars to all instructors, and kudos to Aislinn for being such a great instructor, always smiling and teaching my child how to swim!
