What are people saying (AI review summary)? This city-run pool receives mixed reviews, with many patrons appreciating its free access, close proximity, and the fun experience it offers children, often noting it's not overly crowded. Lifeguards are frequently praised for being wonderful, patient, and engaging with kids, even teaching them to swim. Safety measures like provided life jackets and metal detectors are also mentioned, along with the availability of a free summer camp. However, significant criticisms include poor management leading to frequent and unpredictable closures due to issues like misbehaving camp kids, lifeguard shortages, or unannounced private events. Other common complaints revolve around poor employee communication, the need for better facility cleaning and signage, and issues with loitering teens and foul language.

This has to be one of the worst managed pools I've ever been to in my life. It's always something that they're closed, like closing down the pool because camp kids can't behave, wanting to fight with other kids outside the pool fence with parent threating to shoot at the kids swimming, it being 3 hours passed their opening time but they're not letting anyone in because they dont have enough lifeguards, or some private party that they made no public announcement so people just showing up unknowingly. And, all the employees are completely useless and dont know anything about the place they work at or they can't communicate time schedules to know when the pool will be open again like they're only open for 5-6 hours for godsakes 🙄.
Great pool! Safe too! Sign up on the website and it's free all summer. My children awalys have a blast!
Overall the experience was good however the facility needs cleaning and much better signage there’s a odd walk from locker room to pool. I will say I’m so grateful this facility is free and exsists. The provided life jackets had WONDERFUL LIFE GUARDS and park rangers as well as a metal detector. All staff was polite and patient. One thing I’d like is for the loitering teens to be dispersed and those using so much foul language to be addressed. Otherwise it was 100% enjoyable
