What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the hotel are predominantly negative, with many guests observing a significant decline in overall quality and service. Recurring complaints include inconsistent and often poor customer service (with reports of rude staff and unavailable management), numerous room maintenance issues such as uncomfortable beds, drainage problems, non-working lights or TVs, rust stains, and the absence of window screens. Guests also expressed disappointment over the closure of key amenities like the restaurant, bar, and kitchen. Other issues noted were billing errors, delayed check-ins, excessive chlorine in the pool, and inadequate breakfast. While some positive aspects were mentioned, such as cleanliness, a nice indoor pool (despite one instance of excessive chlorine), an outdoor fire pit, and a good view, and one staff member (Anthony) was praised for being helpful by one guest (while being criticized as rude by another), the general consensus points to a poorly run establishment, with many reviewers advising against staying there.

Came here all the time as kids. Came back and unfortunately it’s gone down hill. Reserved 2 nights online. Called 2 weeks prior to change the reservation to 1 night and verified with two employees it was changed. I was charged based on my original reservation and they will not reverse, even though you can see me checking out. The general manager was very rude and unhelpful. Pool was also over loaded with chlorine, causing our kids red painful eyes. Dogs were on the non pet floor as well, barking. Lastly, rooms did not have screens. My advice, just go somewhere else. If you have to stay here, get all of the paperwork so they don’t get over on you.
Honestly, I enjoyed my stay there, but my roommate thought the beds were unbearable. I liked the fire pit outside and the view was amazing. Anthony was very friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to help. Otherwise the bed was pretty uncomfortable. I told another attendant the ice machine was broken and she just rolled her eyes. The restaurant was closed. We didn’t realize there was no elevator and they placed us on the 2nd floor. It would’ve been nice to know.
We spent a week here visiting family. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is very clean and well maintained which made our stay comfortable. They have a nice indoor pool which my grandkids love. Breakfast is sufficient
The hotel is so poorly run now. We were helped by Anthony at the front desk, and he was very rude!!!We asked for a manager and he said there is no manager on site or available to contact. We could not check in until after 5:30, when the check-in time was 3 o'clock. When we got in our room, the bathtub didn't drain and the lights didn't work. They don't have the kitchen or bar anymore , that was the one of the reasons we loved going there We will never ever go again to the Woodland Country Lodge. If there is a possibility in speaking or emailing a manager, please let me know. We were supposed to say two days, we only stayed one because we were so offended and dismayed by our stay. Very disappointed.
Bathroom sink didn’t drain. Rust stains all around sink and bathtub. TV didn’t work. “Breakfast” was pathetic. Hardly anything was there. Among the worst I’ve seen in years of traveling. Aside from all of that, the room was clean and service was fine. But overall I would stay somewhere else.
