What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for Safe Splash are largely negative, with significant frustration stemming from frequent and last-minute class cancellations, often with inadequate notice or backup plans despite staff being present. Customers reported issues with customer service, including unauthorized charges, incorrect refunds, and unapproved schedule changes. Facility and logistical complaints include difficult parking, confusing access to the pool, freezing water temperatures, high child-to-teacher ratios, and a lack of effective instruction, particularly for infants. While some positive experiences mention excellent, encouraging, and professional instructors like Coach Kwasi and minimal cancellations, the overwhelming sentiment points to disappointment, inconsistency, and a lack of care for customers, leading many to state they would not recommend or return to Safe Splash, with one even alleging fraudulent billing practices.

My daughter has been enrolled for about 2.5 months now. Although I was hesitant to enroll her due to previous reviews, our experience has been great. We’ve only had 1 cancellation. And besides that, our instructor, Coach Kwasi has been excellent. He is always excited to begin the lessons, encouraging and brings the best out of my daughter.
The instructors are kind, professional, thorough and courteous. I love how they interact with my son. I really appreciate them.
Now I normally don't write negative reviews but I'm furious. I enrolled my daughter in this location in June 2023. The instructor at the time was great. That was until he started canceling classes last minute. Class started at 9 and on more than one occasion I was notified at 8:15 that class was canceled when we were already in our way. After a few cancelations I asked for a refund in August and ended her enrollment. I was issued the wrong amount but they fixed it and I thought I was done with them. That was until today June 2024 a whole year later. I get an email authorization a charge for my a beginner swim class that my daughter isn't even enrolled in. I'm literally writing this at 11PM as I just saw the email. I will be calling my bank to dispute the charge and will be calling Safe Splash in the morning. Hopefully there other locations aren't like this but I will NEVER use them again
Took my two kids here for the first time and it was a terrible experience across the board. Parking garage was across the street, extremely packed, and elevators were broken. Not ideal for transporting small kids to and from swim class — in the winter to boot. Difficult to find and zero instruction from the front desk for how to get to the pool. Turns out you need to go to the basement and find an unlocked emergency exit in the corner… and enter through there. Instructor was nice but offered zero instruction — especially for my 7 month old. This was NOT geared to infants whatsoever. Child to teacher ratio was quite high — maybe 5 to 1 for only 30 minutes. Coupled with the insane volume, it was hard to hear or do anything of value. Finally, the pool temp was freezing. My 2 year old, who is very comfortable in the water, was literally blue when he cried to exit the water — which we did early based on his temp. My baby wasn’t much better, and the other kids quickly devolved. End of class and changing in the wet pool area into dry clothes was pandemonium. -5/10 — would not recommend, pay the higher prices and go elsewhere.
I was a former customer of Safe Splash, and I want to formally complain about the disappointing, inconsistent, and inconsiderate service that we received. Classes were canceled nearly every week with last minute notice, with no back up plan. Every week, I noticed that Safe Splash has multiple staff sitting around while the instructors are teaching. Out of all those staff, I do not understand why the school could not arrange for coverage for an absent instructor. In every other business, including martial arts and other organizations that provide instruction or direct services, coverage is arranged so that customers, clients, patients, etc. are not left hanging at the last minute. The last straw was having my enrollment changed without my input to a class time that my son cannot attend. I do not believe that this school cares about the customers and will willingly take their money without providing quality services, without appropriate and timely communication of changes, and without asking if customers can accommodate those changes. What good are make up class tokens, if my makeup classes are canceled as well, which is exactly what happened? I want a full refund, as it is not through my doing that my son could not attend the classes that we paid for. Charging us for classes that you did not allow us to take is fraud. I caution anyone against choosing SafeSplash Swim School, lest you end up wasting your time and money and feel frustrated every week, never knowing if the instructor is going to cancel again, like they did the two and three consecutive weeks that they did previously.
