Clean, warm pool with a kiddie area, basketball courts and a climbing wall.
The aquatic center at Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center typically maintains its competition pool at 79-81°F (26-27°C) and the leisure pool at a warmer 84-86°F (29-30°C). The spa/hot tub is generally heated to 102-104°F (39-40°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the community center are generally positive, highlighting its multiple pool areas (including leisure, competition, and baby pools with slides, lazy river, and whirlpool), a wide range of activities for adults and kids, daycare services, and additional amenities like a library vending machine, ping-pong, and foosball. Most visitors found the staff, especially the front desk, to be friendly, organized, and helpful, and appreciated the clean facilities and good hours. However, some specific criticisms include the lack of a cable pulley station for lat pull-downs in the gym, the absence of a hot water swimming pool, and minor issues with locker room maintenance like rusted shower rods and a need for better hand dryers. A significant negative experience reported was a severe skin rash developed after swimming, raising concerns about pool water quality and calling for greater accountability from management.

Great community center and the fact it has two different pool areas is a huge plus. The only thing I wish it had was a cable pulley station that was set up for lat pull downs. I've been pulling a bench over to get part of the setup needed and you can do alt exercises to hit that area but it's just strange to not have it. Staff are friendly and the hours are fantastic. Big thank you to the staff.
Friendly ( mostly youth) Staff, very organized environment and little busy May be because of the weekend today. I am surprised they don’t have hot water swimming pool… they need to encourage using air hand dryers in the locker room so that we can save our Earth. Some shower rods are rusted and need to be replaced with non- rust material. Also need to put good shower curtains. What I ENJOYED THE MOST here is the standing shower with enough hot and VERY GOOD PRESSURE … felt like MASSAGE.Thank God…07/14/24. I did swimming in the public pool for 2 weeks at my home town, never had any rash on my skin. Today I had severe rash on my thighs, legs, arms itching and burning…. Suffered a lot… someone is responsible for it. I am a healthy guy. in a SHOCK. Most of the public pools have less than 4 ratings… If your ratings are less than 4.5 , every manager, director .. etc should take responsibility. If you can’t maintain the pool properly, BETTER CLOSE IT..The people & elected representatives will respond as per the situation .Thank you. Your rating should be 3…..Thank you.
Such a lovely leisure pool with warmer water, lazy river, whirlpool, spa and baby pool with a slide. Finally, if you dare, a very long snake waterside! Great family locker room. Great front desk staff. Lovely deck to sun bask on and eat your snack!
Love this place!! Had a lot of activities for adults and kids. Different package to be a member. If I lived closer I would sign up. Front desk staff is super friendly and gave us tons of information. The only think we didnt like was a lifeguard on duties when we first got there. She was not friendly and when we ask questions regarding the slide she talked to us like she didn't want to speak or give information, but we didnt let this ruin our experience. We waited until new lifeguard in duty was there and he was super friendlier. In overall a great place for family. Maybe bring a comfy beach chair because benches not as comfy.
I used the competition pool while I dropped off my kid at the daycare for an hour. I had a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly and the facilities are clean. I'll go back there again. Recently they added a small serve yourself library vending machine. Also they have scheduled activities for kids where you can drop them off while the parents go on a date. And every six months they have discounted sales on various membership plans: towards the end of year and in the mid-year. They have a pin-pon table where anyone can come and use it for free... Foosball table too. They even provide the take and the ball.
