Reviews
This community center is almost always in use. During summer you can hear a concert band practicing in the evenings. The playground is a good local playground (upgraded in the last few years) for all ages and the tennis courts were refinished not too long ago. The pool is great, heated and open late!
Heated pool, open till 10pm in the summer. Nice playground and tennis courts.
Fun time with the little girl and the wife, one of MVFs pools, gets a little packed after work and on the weekends but there's alot of space. Try to get their early if you want some shade. Worth it 👍
This pool is moderately but consistently heated (so you avoid temperature extremes) and is open earlier in the spring and later in the fall than other pools. You'll need your current Montgomery Village pool pass or a resident's guest pass to enter. The pool isn't fancy. It's divided into three sections, with a shallow end for kids, a center section for swimming (including lap lanes) and Marco Polo, and a diving well. Tots have their own fenced-in wading pool. Adults of all ages and kids usually mix easily, though when school's out sometimes it gets crowded. There's a small cabana for shade, a picnic area with 4-5 tables and lots of grass for blanket picnics, and old restrooms with communal showers. (Wear flipflops--the floor gets grungy.) The sun deck is well-stocked with chairs and lounges. If you're bringing kids, aim to arrive at a quarter after when the kid rest period (that generally begins at the top of the hour) ends. If you're there late at night, keep in mind that the last 30 minutes or so are usually reserved for adult swimmers. The stairs entering from the parking lot are relatively narrow and steep, but there's a stroller and wheelchair-accessible entrance on the access road from the road to the parking lot; just go up to the fence and call for a lifeguard.
I love this place. Amazing! I feel very refreshed every weekend when I go there. Neat and clean water. The staff are also good.
