Expensive drinks, but all together fun experience. The kids love the playground with all the water slides. Wave pool is always full of people, but it's still a lot of fun. The lazy river is my favorite. The day we were there was really really busy, and they ran out of floaties to rent out, which sucked. But still fun
Our family really enjoys Adventureland Bay—it’s a great water park and we have a lot of fun when we go. The only downside is its location. Since it’s all the way on the opposite side of the amusement park, you have to go through the ride areas to get there. It would be fantastic if they created a separate entrance just for the water park with its own ticket option. We’d go a lot more often if that were available. Also, getting an adult beverage can take forever. If you just want a quick beer, you often end up stuck in a line behind someone ordering an elaborate specialty drink that takes a bartender-level mixologist to prepare. Having separate lines for canned drinks only—or even mobile beverage booths—would make the experience much better.
The water rides are fun and the staff is friendly. But they need to make the changing rooms/bathroom bigger. You have to wait in line just to change. They also charge you $6 rental for a tube for the lazy river and wave pool which I think is crazy. Other water parks don’t do that like white water. The swim up bar is nice but it gets super packed so would be nice on more busy days that could open more. Also oddly the beer is more expensive then cocktails.
We were impressed with the cleanliness, variety of water activities, and the reasonable amount of attendees. The poolside bars a nice touch for the adults. The kids play feature in the center of the park is quite large and well done. The lazy river was average--just a little to shallow. Wave pool was great but it was the most crowded part of the park so be prepared for that. Food is decently priced however the storage lockers are WAY overpriced at $30/backpack. Tip: arrive within the first hour it opens on the weekend to make sure you secure a chair.
Tubes get stolen constantly and they cost money to rent. The wave pool never runs, you’re waiting for it to wave more than it actually waves. It’s incredibly crowded. It feels like there needs to be more pool and more seating for sure! The fact that there isn’t an entrance to go directly into the pool area seems ridiculous to me. The amount of times we go to Adventureland just to visit the pool and you have to walk legitimately an entire mile from the parking lot (depending on where you park) all the way through the park then finally getting to Adventure Bay.
