Specific pool temperatures for the Clive Aquatic Center are not consistently published on their official resources. However, similar municipal aquatic centers typically maintain their recreational pools at a comfortable temperature range, often between 80-84°F (27-29°C), for guest enjoyment.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The aquatic center is generally well-regarded for its extensive variety of activities catering to all ages, from splash pads to diving boards and slides, along with ample lifeguards, clean grounds, and plentiful parking. Admission fees are often considered reasonable. However, common criticisms include a limited snack shop selection and bathrooms in disrepair, particularly late in the season. There are significant concerns about staff conduct, with reports of rude teenage employees, poor communication regarding entry policies (such as 'toddler time' and re-entry requirements), and questionable operational decisions like prolonged lightning delays when other facilities remained open. These issues sometimes lead to frustrating and unexpectedly expensive experiences. The center can also become very crowded between 1 PM and 3 PM due to daycare visits, and nearby construction is noted.

This aquatic center is very well run. Plenty of lifeguards, and the desk staff is friendly even on the day that we were there, which is just a few days away from closing the season out. The grounds are kept clean. The chairs are plentiful. Lots of variety for adults and children alike. The snack shop must be emptying their inventory because there wasn’t much choice. The bathrooms are in a little bit of disrepair but considering the amount of use they get I suppose that’s normal. Plenty of parking. It seems that there’s a lot of construction around this area so watch where you’re driving and parking.
Loved this place. Reasonable admission fees and it is open until 8/23! It has something for everyone! From 0 entry splash pads to a diving board and slides! Fun times!
If you want to overpay to be treated poorly by teenagers working here please do. Otherwise I would attend another one of the pools in the area. Apparently asking questions to anyone means I deserve to be treated poorly with a lot of back talk and attitude. We paid a lot of money to swim only for them to tell us they saw lightening on their radar yet the sun was shining. After delaying swim for an hour I called several other pools in the area all of which had remained open and the closest one just 1.5 miles down the road. This pool has work to do with its staff.
Great facility, but a very poor experience. We arrived 15 minutes before the end of toddler time. We were not notified by the staff who collected our entry fee that toddler time ended at 11 (we arrived at 10:45) and that we would have to leave, wait 30 minutes, and pay again when they opened to the public at 11:30. Spoke with a manager who refused to allow us to pay the difference since we didn’t even have time to get into the water — $15 (toddler time entry) and another $27 (regular entry) made for an expensive day for 3.
We love going to the Clive pool as a family. It does get very busy from 1:00 to 3:00 when daycares are there, but it is still a lovely time. The life guards do a great job
